Introduction

§01General

Hastelloy C is the original nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy that established the corrosion-resistant alloy family. While largely superseded by C-276 and C22 in new construction, it remains in service in legacy chemical plants. For new projects, C-276 or C22 are recommended as upgraded alternatives.
