Introduction

§01General

Nimonic 80A is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-chromium alloy with additions of titanium and aluminum for gamma-prime strengthening. It is the classic alloy for automotive and marine diesel engine exhaust valves, and is also widely used for high-temperature springs, bolts and gas turbine blade applications.
